Are you a vet who sees Equine Grass Sickness cases? EGS remains a major cause of mortality in horses and ponies in Britain with an estimated 80% of cases proving fatal. A number of chronic cases do survive with specialised intensive nursing and many of those horses and ponies have gone on to live a full working life.

Join us to hear from EGS project researchers from the Moredun Research Institute, who will talk about the EGS Biobank and discuss exciting new approaches towards finding the causes of this devastating disease; and Dr Richard Newton, Equine Infectious Disease Surveillance (EIDS), who will consider whether local anonymous disease surveillance could ever exist for EGS. There will be time for questions and discussion following the talks.
