Help Us Secure a Future Free from Equine Grass Sickness – Donate to our Campaign
At the Equine Grass Sickness Fund (EGSF), we are dedicated to one goal: finding the cause of Equine Grass Sickness and helping to protect future generations of horses, ponies and donkeys from this devastating disease. Equine Grass Sickness remains one of the most serious and frequently fatal diseases affecting equines in Britain. Caused by damage to the nervous system that controls the digestive tract, the disease can strike seemingly healthy horses and ponies with little warning. Sadly, around 80% of cases prove fatal, leaving owners, families and veterinary teams facing heart-breaking losses. Please help us to continue researching this disease by donating here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/equinegrasssickness?utm_medium=CA&utm_source=CL
As the UK’s only registered charity dedicated solely to funding research into Equine Grass Sickness, we continue to invest in vital scientific studies that aim to uncover the causes of the disease, improve treatment options and develop effective methods of prevention. While tremendous progress has been made over the years, there is still much more work to be done before we can achieve a future free from grass sickness.
Every donation we receive helps to drive this research forward. Your contribution plays a direct role in helping us build a greater understanding of Equine Grass Sickness and move closer to answers.
We hear regularly from owners whose lives have been changed forever by grass sickness. For those who have lost beloved horses and ponies, the impact can be devastating. We also celebrate the small number of chronic cases that survive through intensive nursing and dedicated veterinary care, offering hope that improved understanding and treatment can make a real difference
