Analysis of Proteins in Urine

A previous study evaluated the urine of Equine Grass Sickness (EGS) cases and analysis revealed significantly higher urinary protein in EGS (acute and subacute) cases in comparison to control and co-grazers of EGS horses (Fintl et.al 2002). Further investigation to isolate individual proteins was attempted by this study which also  included chronic grass sickness cases and horses with gastrointestinal tract complaints.
