Scottish Connemara Group raises £100 for EGS research

EGSF Chairman Keith Mason was delighted to attend the AGM of the Scottish Connemara Group to receive a donation of £100 for grass sickness research. Keith gave a short update on current research and entertained the group with stories of his experiences as vet to the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

The cheque was presented by Sheila Clark, a very knowledgeable horseman who has served on many judging panels and societies. Sheila retires as the group’s treasurer this year and wanted to make this donation to the charity the Connemara Group has generously supported for many years.

Keith thanked the group for their long standing support and said ‘all these donations from supporters have enabled the Fund to further research into finding ways to reduce the incidence of grass sickness. It was a pleasure to speak to such a knowledgeable audience, who clearly knew a lot about this disease.’
