Chronic EGS Survey – can you help?

Have you experienced a case of chronic equine grass sickness within the past 5 years? It is thought that around one third of EGS cases are chronic, and of these around 50% survive, with many of these returning to a full working life. Thre is limited information, however, on the duration and extent of recovery or on the factors affecting survival. This study by the Animal Health Trust aims to investigate the management, treatment and outcome of chonic cases. If your horse/pony had grass sickness for longer than seven days we would be very grateful for your help. We do understand how difficult this may be for you if you subsequently lost your horse/pony, but your answers can help make a real difference to the health and welfare of others suffering with the disease.
