BHS Wiltshire Pleasure Ride raises £1000 for EGS research

The first BHS fun ride to take place on the Fonthill Estate near Salisbury was a huge success, with over 100 riders taking advantage of the excellent weather and beautiful estate to raise money for the Equine Grass Sickness Fund and Wiltshire Air Ambulance with £1000 raised for each charity.

Held with the kind permission of Lord and Lady Margadale, the event was organised by committee member Sarah Jones who wanted to raise money for the Equine Grass Sickness Fund after her own horse died from the disease.

So often a fundraiser arises from sad circumstances with the loss of a horse to the disease, but when people gather together to help fund research and have a great day out in the process it helps take some of the pain away.
