Princess Anne congratulates Harelaw Equestrian on raising over £20,000 for grass sickness research
Having lost seven of their beloved riding school ponies to grass sickness, the children and parents of Harelaw Equestrian Centre decided to fight back against the disease. In 2015 the Onesie Ride was launched, and in four years has managed to exceed £20,000 for grass sickness research. Headed by Carrie Bain, the group has now become even more ambitious, adding a disco night and Halloween Ride to their events.
Gemma Ireland and Elise Pirie represented Harelaw this week at a reception at Moredun to meet our Patron Princess Anne. As ever Her Royal Highness was keen to find out our latest news and was quick to congratulate Gemma and Elise on their efforts.
