EGSF supporter Lorraine Saunders was devastated to lose her gentle giant Scottie unexpectedly in spring 2023. Scottie had fought grass sickness aged 18, and went on to be one of our most recognisable ambassadors, with a huge fan base.

Scottie travelled Scotland to help raise awareness of grass sickness, leading our Survivors Parade at the Royal Highland Show, and representing us at the World Clydesdale Show, where he even won the heart of a certain Martin Clunes!

To raise money in Scottie’s memory Lorraine and her son put together a calendar featuring horses and ponies affected by grass sickness, kindly donated by their owners. We are very grateful to everyone involved with the production of the calendar, and to everyone who bought a copy.
