| Burlington Bertie goes to
Newmarket
Burlington Bertie, the grass sickness recovery case
from Suffolk who featured in the last Equine News, will
attend the National Stud Fair, Newmarket which takes
place on 8/9/10 July 2003.
Bertie will parade once each day in the main arena
and will welcome visitors to his box, next to the EGSF
stand, during the 3 days. Bertie’s owner Denise Hewett
reports that he is very well and came 2nd from an entry
of 27 in a recent dressage competition. Baileys Horse
Feeds have generously sponsored a beautiful rug for
Bertie to wear.
The Fair, which coincides with racing at Newmarket
and the Tattersalls Sales, has an exciting programme
covering all aspects of equestrianism. Main ring
attractions include Stallion Parades, the Household
Cavalry’s Musical Ride, a charity polo match, rare
breeds, a parade of horse drawn carriages and Katie
Cropper’s Sheepdog Display.
Information about grass sickness will be available
from the EGSF stand along with two new Christmas cards
for 2003 and a selection of useful gifts. Please come
along and support us. |
